August 1-September 1st, 2024 Every night there are two shifts that go out to patrol. The first shift is from 8PM-10PM and the second is from 10PM-12AM. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time. Where is Puffin Patrol? Headquarters is at O’Brien’s Boat Tours. Each shift begins and ends there. The address is: 22 Lower Road, Bay Bulls, NL, A0A 1C0 How do I register? Registration is through Ticket Tailor here. Where can I find the waiver? The waiver for the 2024 Patrol Season can be found here. Please make sure that you have filled it out before your patrol time. How many people can patrol each night? Each night we are limited to 7 car-fulls of people. The date and/or time I wanted it full, what do I do now? You can join the wait list! If spots become available you will be notified in the order registered for the wait list. Is there an age limit? No! There is no age limit to patrol, but patrollers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while patrolling. What do I have to bring? Every patroller must bring their own: Flashlight Fluorescent safety vest Gloves (Leather or nitrile coated are recommended) We will provide nets and crates and sanitize them between each use. Do you provide any transportation? Accommodation? No. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to provide transportation to Witless Bay, the patrolling area, or accommodation for volunteers.
