Currently there are over 40,000 ATVs operating in this province, and most of them are being used on the island portion.
If even 1% of these ATVs are being used carelessly, that means over 400 people are driving across wetlands and beaches, destroying habitats, and disturbing wildlife, and giving ATV riders a bad name.
The reality is that more than 1% of riders drive their ATVs irresponsibility, and the damage they cause is often impossible to repair.
